TEXTILE PRODUCT TECHNOLOGY

    After the establishment of the department of "Spinning of natural and chemical fibers" in 1979 the training of engineers in the specialties of "Spinning of natural and chemical fibers" and "Weaving" was carried out independently. Students of these specialties were admitted to full-time, evening and part-time departments.

   The department was headed by associate professor O.M. Yoriyev in 1979-1985. In 1985 the name of the department was changed to "Features of Light Industry Technology". Associate professor M. Sh. Toirov headed the department in 1985-1986s and associate professor H. G. Gapparov was the head of department in1986-1889s.

   This faculty included such specialties as "Technology of garments", "Technology of leather and fur", "Spinning of natural and chemical fibers", "Weaving" and "Machines and equipment of light industry". In 1989, on the basis of the department "Technology and equipment of light industry", the department "Technology of leather, fur and textile products" was established, Assoc. M.Sh. Toirov was elected head of the department.

   The department has been operating since 1992 under the name "Technology and Material Science of Textile Products". Department "Technology and Materials Science of Textile Products", Heads of departments were Assoc. M.F. Avezov (1992-1998). Since 1998, this department under the name "Technology of products of the textile industry", Assoc. Kh.K.Salimov (1998-2000) and worked under the guidance of Assoc.S.A. Khamrayeva (2000-2005). In 2005, the department was renamed under the name "Technology of textile products" Head of the department Assoc. Khaitov A.A. was elected and worked at the department until 2010. Currently, the department operates under the name "Technology of textile products" dated August 3, 2021 on the basis of the order of the rector of the institute No. 432-U. The head of the department, Professor R.Kh. Nurboev. The main tasks of the staff of the department were the preparation of bachelors and masters with modern information technologies, the conduct of educational, methodological and research work. In recent years, a modern educational laboratory has been operating and created.

SCIENTIFIC-METHODICAL WORKS CARRIED OUT IN THE DEPARTMENT

1. 1. A project worth 1.2 billion sum to develop a technology for the production of yarn from textile waste was submitted to the Ministry of Innovation under the leadership of Associate Professor of the Department of Textile Technology and Design Gfurova Nigora Tuymurodovna.
2. 2. On June 19, 2021, Mardonov Salokhiddin Ergashevich successfully defended his PhD thesis on the topic “Technology for the production of textile fabrics from sizing threads based on local components” in the specialty 05.06.02 - Technology of textile materials and raw materials pre-treatment.

   The Department of "Textile Products Technology" maintains international relations by concluding mutually beneficial agreements with Vitebsk State Technical University of Belarus, Kostroma State University, St. Petersburg Academy of Arts and Industry, Ivanovo State Polytechnic University, and Moscow State University of Design and Technology. and in the future mutual student exchange and teacher training are being implemented.
