
In accordance with Resolution No. PQ-22 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 24, 2025, “On the Establishment of Bukhara State Technical University,” Bukhara State Technical University was established on the basis of the Bukhara Engineering-Technological Institute and the Bukhara Institute of Natural Resources Management. From April 1, 2025, by Order No. 9-Sh dated April 2, 2025, of the Acting Rector of Bukhara State Technical University, the Department of “Technological Machines and Equipment” was reorganized. Particular attention is being paid to the introduction of an innovative education system within the department, ensuring the integration of education with industry, and implementing advanced scientific research and innovative projects into production. The department employs 4 Doctors of Science, 23 Candidates of Technical Sciences and PhD holders, 2 senior lecturers, 5 assistants, 12 trainee teachers, and 17 doctoral students, who are actively engaged in scientific research activities.

In order to implement innovative projects at the department and introduce them into production, support the innovative ideas of young researchers, and strengthen the material and technical base of the department, the scientific laboratory center “Innovative Technologies in Light Industry” as well as rooms for “Master’s Students and Researchers” have been established. In cooperation with doctoral students, independent researchers, master’s students, and talented students, scientific research is being conducted on the following topics: “Improvement of the technology of wet-heat treatment of sewing products based on resource saving,” “Development of technology for producing dimensionally stable garments using the felting technique,” “Development of the design of working bodies and drive mechanisms of a polymer composite coating device,” “Determination of the parameters of the adaptive presser foot mechanism of a sewing machine,” “Development of innovative technologies for dyeing fabrics and threads with natural dyes,” and “Improvement of the process of weaving ‘Smart’ fabrics using silk and optical fibers.”
