"Information and Communication Technologies"

    The department began its activity in 1979 under the name "Applied Mathematics "and in 1999 it was called "Informatics". In 2001, the faculty was divided into "Informatics " and "Modern technologies of teaching", which supplies specialists to the national economy sectors. Since 2005, both institutions have been merged and reorganized under the name “Informatics and information technologies” and since September 2015 under the name “Information Technologies". Since August 2017 it has been operating under the name “Information and communication technologies".     During past years, the department was managed by Prof. Sh.R.Muminov, docent O.O.Yodgorov, docent Sh.S.Yuldashev, docent Sh.I.Razzakov. The main goal of the staff of the department is to train advanced bachelors and master's degrees in modern information and communication technologies.
In order to create teaching aids in these areas of education, teachers of the department created 5 textbooks and 20 manuals, published scientific articles in more than 500 international and national journals, as well as Author's certificates and patents have been obtained for more than 300 electronic textbooks and e-learning manual.

   During these years, 11 candidates and 1 doctor's defense has been fulfilled. A lot of research work has been carried out, which is important in the direction of automation of production with the participation of professors and research works are carried out in 3 directions. These are:
   Creation and introduction of technologies for the development of e-learning resources on the basis of multimedia complexes.
   The development of tools and methods of information modification and the use of technological processes in the processing of information masses from them.
   Modeling the number of mechanics issues of adjacent environments by taking into account the heat exchange, phase transitions and propagation of choppy noise in different environments.
The department has implemented 3 international and 2 state grants. and 2 modern training laboratories. In addition, the “Comsol Multiphysics” laboratory has been operating since 2015.

The teachers of the department took part in the international Tempus competition and became the owners of the international grant No. 158677 Tempus-DE-Tempus JPCR on the topic "Higher Education Initiative For Informatics in Central Asia". The project amount is 1,112,038 euros.

561574-ERR-1-2015-1-ES- YERRKA 2-SVNE JR ECUUM under the coordination of the teachers of the department Sh.I. Razzakov under the "Erasmus+" program: development of master's training programs in the specialty of mathematical design and creation of computer (computing) centers" won the international grant.


SCIENTIFIC WORKS CARRIED OUT IN THE DEPARTMENT

   In the Bukhara Institute of Engineering-Technology Department "Information and Communication Technologies", the integration of education and production, introduction of the results of scientific research in the fields of production, introduction of new forms and methods of using computer technology and telecommunication tools in the educational process to increase the effectiveness of education attention is being paid. The department's scientific research activities are carried out on the basis of the perspective plan developed for 2017-2030 and approved by the rector of the institute.
In the department, 2 candidates of science, 1 PhD, as well as 12 scientific researchers are conducting scientific research on topics and problems corresponding to their scientific fields.


In the 2021-2022 academic year, the department carried out scientific and research work on the following topics based on the plan:

  1. 1.Creation and implementation of technologies for the development of electronic educational resources based on modern multimedia complexes. (Leader: Assoc. Muradova F.R.)
  2. 2.Development of means and methods of information transformation and their use in technological processes of processing information arrays. (Leader: Narziyev U.Z.)
  3. 3.Numerical modeling of issues of mechanics of adjacent media taking into account heat exchange, phase transitions and wave propagation in different periods. (Leader: Assoc. Yoldoshev Sh.S.).

  4. Scientific potential of professors and teachers working in HE departments

  5. There are 20 staff units in the department, of which 16 teachers were the main contributors. During the reporting period, 2 associate professors, 1 Ph.D., 6 senior teachers, 5 assistants and 2 teacher-interns conducted teaching-methodical, scientific-research, and spiritual-educational work at the department. The scientific potential of the department is 20%, the average age of the teachers is 41 years, most of them are young specialists.

   The topic of scientific research conducted by some professors of the department and its brief classification are as follows:

   Fundamentals of introducing a distance learning system based on telecommunication networks in improving the qualifications of pedagogic personnel. This scientific topic is devoted to the issues of development of electronic library and automated management system software in colleges, lyceums and basic higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and reveals the issues of improving the technology of creating electronic textbooks and teaching methodology in special subjects.

   He conducts scientific research on the study of toxic gases and flames that are released into the atmosphere during combustion, the technology of designing and preparing a system of energy-saving gas devices. As a result of scientific research, 2 projects were submitted to the competition of grant projects announced by the Ministry of Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Research work is being carried out in close cooperation with the private entrepreneur "Kogon heating devices".

   "Methodology of formation and determination of intellectual potential in information technology education (in the case of general secondary educational institutions)". The practical significance of the introduction of educational programs used in the teaching of mathematics in the secondary school system is being studied in the research works conducted on the subject.

   "Application of modern methods of statistical processing of data in life". This scientific work is devoted to the issues of creating a database of subjects conducted in this department and their dynamic processing.

   He is carrying out research work on the topic "Development of models, algorithms and methods of reliability research of automation system elements". The simulation models and algorithms created as a result of the research were implemented in the 6/0.4 kV transformer substation of JSC "Bukhoroneftgazparmalash". As a result, it was determined that the costs of the 6/0.4 kV transformer substation of JSC "Bukhoroneftgazparmalash" decreased by 2%. (Information No. 02/DH-113 dated January 29, 2020 of JSC Bukhoroneftgazparmalash). During the reporting period, according to the results of cooperation, more than 20 scientific articles were published by professors and teachers of the department at national scientific conferences. At the same time, they participated in a number of prestigious international conferences held at the level of the Republic and the institute with more than 50 scientific lectures.
