ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department of "Higher Mathematics" was founded in 1962 on the basis of the Bukhara General Technical Faculty of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute on September 1, 1969. Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor HS Madrakhimov was appointed the first head of the department. Initially, the department was taught by senior teachers SN Abdurahmanova, RM Saidova, IB Bozorov, GI Soldatova, KU Usnatdinov, AP Sinelnikova.

Associate Professor Sh.R.Muminov (1972-1981), Assoc. N.S.Mo’minov (1981-1988yy), dots. N.P.Rasulov (1989-1992) and (1999-2006), docent. I.Q.Urinov (1992-1998), professor IISafarov (2006-2014), docent M.Kh.Teshayev (2014-2015) were the leaders. In February 2015, the head of the department "Higher Mathematics" was appointed Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor GG Yunusov.

Initially, the department taught not only "Higher Mathematics", but also such subjects as "Computer Science and Programming", "Economic Mathematical Models", "General Statistics". Therefore, in 1979, it was decided to divide the department into two, the departments of "Higher Mathematics" and "Applied Mathematics". During the past period, the department has paid great attention to attracting young professionals and sending them to graduate school, strengthening the material and technical base of the department. Classrooms are equipped, various stands are prepared, the library of the department is organized. Significant results have been achieved in computerization of the educational process.

From 1981 to 1983, the associate professor of the department HS Madrahimov taught "Higher Mathematics" at Kabul University in Afghanistan. In 1998, Associate Professor NH Rakhmatov returned to New York University to improve his skills. In 2006, Professor II Safarov graduated from Moscow State University.

Currently, the department of "Higher Mathematics" teaches "Higher Mathematics", "Mathematics for Economists" and "Mathematical Models and Methods". The members of the department paid great attention to the teaching and methodological work and prepared many manuals.

Teachers of the department are working hard to pass their knowledge to the younger generation in the academic lyceum of the institute. Higher education of all teachers of the department on the creation of collections of lectures, the organization of independent work of students in mathematics, improving the assessment of students' knowledge in the rating system, the introduction of new pedagogical technologies in the teaching of mathematics and prepared more than 200 methodological manuals and instructions for students of the vocational education system.

STRUCTURE OF THE DEPARTMENT

At present, the department has 20 professors and teachers, including: 2 doctors of sciences - professors, 5 candidates of sciences - associate professors, 1 doctor of philosophy in physical and mathematical sciences, 5 senior teachers, 5 assistants, There are 2 trainee teachers and 1 basic doctoral student. Currently, the scientific potential of the department is 40%. The content is as follows:

DEPARTMENT OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

The department conducts research on "Theoretical and practical problems of mathematics." In particular, G.G.Yunusov “Hydrodynamic problems of open currents in the field of branching”, I.I.Safarov “Mechanics of deformable solids”, M.X.Teshayev “Theoretical solutions of complex mechanical systems”, N.P.Rasulov and I.Q.Urinov “Statistics of random processes, H.B.Ismatov conducted research in the field of "Theoretical Foundations of Mechanics", M.I.Pulatova - "History of Mathematics", and now the department conducts a lot of research in these areas.

The department has a scientific council PhD.03 / 27.02.2021.FM.101.02, which awards the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in physical and mathematical sciences. At this scientific council, a scientific seminar "01.02.01.-Theoretical mechanics" and "01.02.04.-Mechanics of a deformable solid" is held.

To date, a number of scientific works have been published. In particular, about 500 scientific articles and about 1000 citations of these articles, about 50 scientific monographs have been published in prestigious foreign publications. Let's list some of them:
