Department of Oil and gas engineering

Department of Oil and gas engineering was established on July 10, 2019 based on the department of Technology of petrochemical industry in accordance with the new structure of Bukhara Engineering-Technological Institute, approved by the Ministry of higher and secondary special education of Republic of Uzbekistan. The management of the department is entrusted to the candidate of chemical sciences, associate professor K.K. Sharipov.

There are 1 doctor of science, professor, 1 candidate of sciences, associate professor, 4 doctors of philosophy (PhD), 2 senior teachers, and 2 assistant teachers at the department.

Department has cooperation relations with Gazli oil and gas production administratiom, Gazli department of main gas pipelines, JSC Uzneftegazkuduktamirlash, Amirabad mining and geophysical expedition branch, Kagan department of main gas pipelines, Alat oil and gas exploration expedition, JSC Bukhara oil and gas drilling, Neftgaztadikot, where practical classes, internships, excursions are held. Scientific research is carried out based on current problems of enterprises

At present, the department has prepared 2 winners of the state scholarship named after Beruni, 5 winners of the competition of scholarships “Uzbekistan GTL”, 2 winners of the institute stage of the competition “Student of the Year”.

Department held events in form of the round table on October 18, 2019 on the theme “Language is the mirror of the nation”, on January 8, 2020 on the theme “Punishment of crime is inevitable”, on March 10, 2021 on the theme “From the great history to the great future”, and on October 6, 2021, on the theme “Mercy is an eternal virtue of our people”.

Theoretical knowledge of students is being strengthened in practice in industrial enterprises. Senior teachers of the department H.O. Obidov and M.O. Sattorov organized an excursion to Bukhara oil base LLC

In frame of the implementation of 5 initiatives, senior lecturer of the department M.O. Sattorov visited Bukhara book world with students.
