DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

From 2012 to August 2017, the head of the Department of Chemistry was c.t.s. V.N. Akhmedov. In 2017-2019 the head of the department of chemistry was d.ph-m.s. M.Z. Sharipov. From August 2019 to the present, the head of the department is c.t.s., Associate Professor V.N. Akhmedov.

Information about the department

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No.-1954 dated April 15, 2013 y. the Bukhara Engineering and Technological Institute of High Technologies was renamed the Bukhara Engineering and Technological Institute.  In this regard, the structure of the Institute was changed and the Department of General Chemistry was created. From 2017 to 2019, the department was merged with the Department of Physics and functioned under the name of the Department of Natural Sciences. According to the new structure of the Institute, the Department of Chemistry was re-established in 2019. At the Department of Chemistry, 9 candidates of Sciences - associate professors, 2 senior teachers, 9 assistants conduct high-quality and meaningful classes in chemistry subjects.

In 2015, the department began to work as an independent scientific applicant, and in 2019 defended their doctoral dissertations B.G.Ramazanov, Z.I. Nurullaev, in 2020 N.Sh. Panoev, in 2021 N.Z. Adizova and F.F. Rakhimov. Currently, all assistants are engaged in research work. Senior lecturer Berdieva Z.M. took a two-month training at Moscow State University at the expense of the “El Yurt Umidi” Foundation. In the educational process, training is carried out using modern didactic tools and equipment, as well as advanced pedagogical and innovative teaching technologies, using foreign educational experience.

RESULTS OF EDUCATIONAL AND METHODICAL ACTIVITY

In 2015-2021, 6 textbooks, 19 textbooks, 12 monographs, 35 electronic textbooks were prepared and replicated at the department.

INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIONS

The department cooperates with South Kazakhstan State University, Volgograd Medical University and Saratov State University.

In the 2019-2021 academic years, together with the M.Auezov University in South Kazakhstan Region, on the basis of a joint program and service, training directions are opened and classes are held by teachers of the department.

SPIRITUAL AND EDUCATIONAL WORK

               The leading teaching staff of the department organize interesting and informative educational events in the “Information Resource Center” and in the “Place of residence of students”.

INTEGRATION OF SCIENCE AND PRODUCTION

Under the leadership of V.N. Akhmedov, under the project "Creation and development of technology for obtaining salt-resistant hydrophobic building compositions based on elementary inorganic polymers" (PZ-2017090419) for 2018-20, 100 million in 2018, 167 million in 2019, 220 million in 2020, a state grant in the amount of 34 million soums was executed. A group of talented students of the department under the leadership of V.N. Akhmedov participated in the forums of the Youth Union and entered the 4th stage of the STARTUP competition with the project “Hydrophobic Composition”.

At the Commercialization Forum held at the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan on February 25-26, 2021, the ministries and departments of Economy, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions attended by representatives of Government`s, higher educational institutions and scientific organizations and participated in 2 projects and signed a trilateral agreement with Uztransgas JSC in coordination with the Ministry of Innovative Development for 1 billion soums.
